LOMOGRAPHY FISHEYE! I bought it at the week before last week at an internet auction. It was 5,850 yen with 6 rolls of VISTA100(AGFAFILM) films. We can't buy AGFA's film anymore because the company went bunkrupt, you know, so I was so happy to get it.
LOMOGRAPHY's cameras are very interesting thought they are toy-cameras. I can't imagine what the printed pictures would look like since it's not the images that I look from finder when I click away the shutter button.
I opened a photo gellary in my private website. There are photos that I took not only by analog camera (PEN-FT) but also my digital camera (Fujifilm Finepix F410).
I wanted to fix the top page of my private website, but there was no enough time to do that. I'm going to relaunch my website in spring.
A scanner that now I have is sheetfeed scanner. It's so difficult to load the image of printed photo. (there was abnormal noise when it loaded the image, and the loaded image was a little tilted.) Colored images were OK, but I gave up to load images of photo in black and white. I will buy brandnew flathead scanner tomorrow.
At Feb.28th, I played the drums in the band called "OFF-tari", and I took pictures by PEN-FT during MC time on stage. Maybe I will show you the photos at the time Next week.
Next mounth, I plan to buy a cute toy camera, called LOMO's FISHEYE.
These photos are my first works by PEN-FT. I took these at the day when I have this camera. They are so nice photos even though there were no exposure meter, aren't they?
'BACKSISDE'
I bought a cool can badge at an used clothing shop, but the backside of this badge was also so cool, and I poped a shutter in spite of oneself. I love its nostalgic mood. :-)
It's a sudden occurrence for me! I got 'OLUMPUS PEN-FT' whici is one of Japanese famous classic cameras, and I went into the world of silver salt (film) camera. Touching the camera and taking pictures by PEN-FT make me happy. I love this camera, PEN-FT! I'm going to treasure it.
PEN-FT is a half-size camera which made in 1966! It's a lot older than me.
The PEN-FT that i got is this one, it's so beautiful, isn't it?
On the lens cover, there is ornamental initials like this... It's cool!
First, I could not load the film into camera very well, so I could not take photos. I thought for sure that i had taken photos full day, so when it became known that i could not take any pictures, i got a shock! I was given a harsh lesson of silver salt camera.
Suzu who is one of my friends that likes cameras very much, found the data of instruction book at the time for me, so i downloaded that data(image) immediately. One of PEN-FT's feature is built-in exposure meter, but now we can not use that function since it is run on mercury battery that is banned. So I have to adjust exposure and speed by guess.
Anyway, I took pictures 2 rolls of films for 27 prints soon. Since it's half-size camera, I could take 54 pictures at a roll of film for 27 prints. Pictures that i took by this camera are cut in half lengthwise, you know. When I take a look inside finder, i can see a vertically long square, not horizontally long.
Unlike digital camera, there is really exciting time for waiting my film is developed. And the photos that came out, have retro-flavored mood. I want to take my snare drums's photo at an early date.
I'm going to open an online gallery named 'Get A Kick Out Of Snapping'in my private site space.
I spent leisured holiday with friends. We were supposed to have a barbecue at riverside, but we changed our plan since it was rain during the forenoon. I haven't spent such a tranquil holiday like today for a long time.
First, we visited the former estate of the marquis Toshinari Maeda. The Western and Japanese-style buildings are open to the public. It was the first time that i saw former estates. They were so impressive and beautiful. The retro-flavored atmosphere was so nice. I love to take photos, you know, I took so many good pictures there.
Japanese style
Western style
There were imposing trees around the buildings. I like big trees. Daily irritations of my daily life seems to be not a big deal as compared to big trees' long life. They have been lived calmly over the decades, centuries, and thousands of years. They have not only calmness but also strength.
It was good weather afternoon, so the rustles of trees were so comfortable, and the falling light through the trees were beautiful.
Next, we visited the Former Furukawa estate's garden. (We could not enter the building since time was late.) The Western style garden and Japanese style garden were so large and beautiful.
At night, we went to ALBATROSS where is one of my favorite bars in Shinjuku. We had a nice chat on the roof. It was nice to feel the night breeze.
There are many other former estates that I could not visit today in Tokyo. I hope visit there if I have time.
